UK Comps Club (ukcompsclub.co.uk) is a trading name of Northern Design and Marketing Ltd(“we”, “us”, “our”). We are the data controller responsible for your personal data when you use this website and enter our prize competitions. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data in line with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Our competitions are strictly for adults aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
1. The data we collect

2. How we use your data
- To register you, verify your age and operate your account.
- To process entries and payments, allocate tickets and run draws fairly.
- To contact you about competitions you have entered, your account, and any prizes you win.
- To send marketing communications where you have given consent (you can opt out at any time).
- To keep our service secure, prevent fraud, and meet our legal and regulatory obligations.
3. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with trusted service providers (“processors”) who help us run the service, and only as far as needed:
- Supabase — secure database, authentication and storage hosting.
- Vercel — website hosting and delivery.
- Stripe — payment processing (handles your card details securely on our behalf).
- Google and Meta (Facebook) — only if you choose to sign in with them.
- Email & CRM provider — to send account and (where opted in) marketing emails.
We may also disclose data where required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect our rights, property or safety.
4. Cookies
We use a small number of cookies that are necessary for the site to work — for example, to keep you logged in and to remember that you have confirmed you are 18 or over. We do not currently use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but disabling essential cookies may stop parts of the site from working.
5. How long we keep it
We keep your personal data only for as long as needed for the purposes above — typically for the life of your account and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal, accounting, tax and competition-record obligations. Records of competition entries and winners may be kept longer to demonstrate that draws were run fairly. When data is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymise it.
6. International transfers
Some of our providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement) to keep your data protected to UK standards.
7. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- access a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- ask us to erase your data in certain circumstances;
- restrict or object to how we use your data;
- data portability (receive your data in a portable format);
- withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent (e.g. marketing).

8. Security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit, hashed passwords and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to notify you and the relevant authorities of any breach where required.
9. Children
This site and our competitions are for adults aged 18 and over only. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and change the “last updated” date above. Significant changes will be communicated where appropriate.
